Beyond Control

Q. If the child is 16 years and over can I make an application for Beyond Control?

A. No, under Section 44 and Section 45 of the Children Act Ch 46:01 the child must be under 16. Persons are normally directed to the Social Services Unit for assistance where the parties involved will be offered services such as counselling, psychiatric evaluations and other various outreach programms provided by the court.
