Departmental Profile & Structure

The General Administration Unit contributes to the achievement of management plans by providing quality support and administrative services to the Corporate Leadership. In order to effectively carry out this mandate, the Unit is divided into three arms: Facilities Planning and Building Maintenance, Office Management and Vehicle Operations. Each arm fulfils a different function and provides a particular type of service. These include:

Facilities Planning and Building Maintenance

• Administer lease rental agreements for all Judiciary locations and facilities
• Verification of all Utilities Bill– Telephones, Internet, Cable, Electricity, and Water
• Responsible for the disposal of all unserviceable assets of the Judiciary
  • Responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of landline and cellular telephone services

Office Management

• Purchasing and distributingthe necessary tools, equipment, stationery and supplies to all offices of the Judiciary to support the smooth and efficient functioning of their business operations
• Maintenance of an Inventory Management System to ensure cost effectiveness and order fulfilment
• Monitor usage of Stationery, Supplies, Furniture, and Equipment by Court locations

Vehicle Operations

• Manages the Judiciary’s transportation system
• Fleet Maintenance system to ensure Judiciary vehicles are in proper working condition
• Manage deliveries and transport of persons and property for timeliness, security and safety
• Manage deliveries of Judiciary’s mail to ensure timeliness and completeness of service
