Department Profile & Departmental Structure
The Finance and Accounts Unit is a division of the Court Administration Unit headed by the Director of Finance and Accounts. The Unit is responsible for the institution of proper accounting procedures and systems in accordance with existing legislation and guidelines throughout the Judiciary. The Unit is also responsible for ensuring that the financial credibility of the Judiciary is maintained both internally and externally.
Services provided by the Unit include:
- Budgeting
- Processing of emoluments payments to all staff
- Processing of payments to service providers
- Completion of Pension and Leave Service Records for all Public Officers
- Computation of Compensation Benefits for Contract Officers
- Maintenance of financial records and systems in keeping with existing Legislation and guidelines
- Administration of Revenue Collection

The Finance and Accounts Unit is located at Tower D, International Waterfront Centre, 1A Wrightson Road, Port of Spain
