Court Library Services Unit
Department Profile
The Court Library Services Unit provides a planned, centralized and co-ordinated Library and Information Service to the Judiciary. The Unit is composed of six [6] libraries – the Supreme Court Libraries in Port of Spain, San Fernando and in Tobago; the Judges Research Library, the Magistracy Library and the Family Court Library. There is also a Technical Services Department including a Bindery section.
Services
- Provides skilled and customised reference services
- Is responsible for establishing and maintaining relevant collections in the Judges' Chambers, in the Magisterial Districts and in certain administrative units of the Judiciary
- Acquires, organises and manages relevant information resources
- Provides effective, timely and seamless access to legal information to its users
