Court Human Resource Management Unit
Department Profile & Organisational Structure
The Court Human Resource Management Unit (CHRMU) is a division of the Department of Court Administration headed by the Human Resource Manager. The Unit institutes general management techniques and procedures in compliance with the Public Service Regulations and the Chief Personnel Officer's terms and conditions of employment. In addition, the Unit is responsible for recruitment and development of the core competencies of staff to support the functions of the Judiciary. The CHRMU also provides support to Managers in order to enhance and maintain a high calibre workforce.
Other Key Responsibilities of the CHRMU include:
- Facilitation of staff selection and recruitment
- Arrangement and allocation of employees
- Staff orientation Delivery of training and staff development programmes
- Leave administration
- Initiation of the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
- Performance Management Oversight of the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
- Supervision of the Industrial Relations and Grievance Procedures
- Initiation of Pension and Leave/ Retirement Benefits (Public Service) and Compensation Benefits (Contractual Employment)
- Development and enforcement of Occupational Health and Safety Procedures
