Stephanie Daly has been in private practice for over 30 years.
During that time she has published on a variety of legal issues
including particularly family law and damages for personal injuries.
She has been responsible for the supplements on damages which have
appeared in every issue of The Lawyer since fusion of the legal
professions – some 21 issues to date, and it is the Trinidad
and Tobago material from these supplements together with the cases
published in Dalys’ Damages which is now being placed on the
Supreme Court Web Site.
Stephanie Daly is a member of the Public Service Appeal Board and
is a former President of the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago.
She served for 20 years as a member of the Law Commission, and has
recently been involved in committees making recommendations on the
new Companies Act and a Task Force reviewing legislation for State
Enterprises. She is also a former Chairman of WASA. Since 1995 she
has been interested in the development of mediation and is trained
as a commercial and family mediator.
